About This Community
Green Valley Fairways is the largest homeowner association in Green Valley, comprising 759 single-family homes across three subdivisions — Fairways I, Fairways II, and Fairways III. Established in 1966, it is one of the oldest 55+ age-restricted communities in the area. The neighborhood's distinctive Spanish Colonial architecture — white stucco walls, terracotta tile roofs, arched doorways — gives it a character unlike any other community in the valley.
All residents pay Green Valley Recreation (GVR) dues (approximately $515/year), which provide access to 13 recreation centers, 5 fitness centers, 13 swimming pools, tennis, pickleball, bocce ball, fishing lakes, and walking trails throughout the greater Green Valley area. The HOA itself maintains very low annual dues (approximately $60/year), making this one of the most affordable communities in Green Valley from a carrying-cost perspective.
The Country Club of Green Valley is a private, member-run club located nearby. Membership is separate and not included with HOA dues — residents who wish to golf there must join independently. Homes are primarily single-story, detached, and single-family.
For buyers who want character, history, and an authentic Green Valley feel at an accessible price point, Green Valley Fairways is a standout value. Prices typically range from the $210,000s to the mid-$400,000s.
